About this tour
Your guide picks you up around 9:30, and the first stops are Uçhisar Castle – the highest point in the area – and the Göreme viewpoint. Then comes the UNESCO-listed Göreme Open-Air Museum with its rock-cut churches and frescoes. After lunch you watch potters at work in Avanos using clay from the Kızılırmak river, then continue to the three-capped fairy chimneys of Paşabağ and the odd animal-shaped rocks of Devrent Valley. The tour takes 6–7 hours.
